The Jaguar name stands at the pinnacle of the British Sports Car leader board with racing victories dating back into the late 1940's, and culminating with the historic D Type Jaguars winning the must grueling race of all, the 24 Hour of Le Mans in 1955, 1956 & 1957.
Of course for many it was Jaguar's fabulous brood of production sports cars that captured hearts and focused the enthusiast's mind on the thought of one day acquiring their long dreamed of JAG!
Jaguar Sports Cars were always monikered as 'XK's' and through the eras there was the XK120, XK140, XK150 and of course, the best known of them all, the XK-E Type or XKE, which was produced from 1961 - 1974. Jaguar's XK lineup then faded from view for over 20 years before Jaguar brought back the XK name with the introduction of their new Sports/GT Car the XK8 in 1996.
And it is of course, a XK8 that we have for your consideration today. This particular car is one of the much preferred 2003+ Model Year examples, which at the time had undergone significantly refinement at Jaguar with a redesigned, more potent, and far more durable 4.2L V8, along with the new bullet proof ZF 6 Speed Transmission, plus a number of moderate cosmetic changeouts that beautified the car, and set it apart from the earlier examples.
Style wise the freshened XK8 used many of the design clues of it's illustrious forebearer, the E Type, but slightly resized and modernized to adapt to the current standards.
This lovely 'Triple Black' Jaguar XK8 is a car that we at SportsCarLocate know quite well, as we had sourced the car for one of our earliest clients. Sourced out of sunny Florida way back in 2009, before we arranged to have the car delivered into Canada, direct to our client's home in Niagara On The Lake. That client, Richard M., the cars owner of 15 years, has babied this long treasured Jaguar ever since its arrival. Garage kept, winter stored and driven sparingly Richard has added just 35,000 km to the odometer since his purchase. Driving the car an average of just 2300 km per year, and although not driven often, the car has been respectfully maintained and has no known needs, making it ready to be enjoyed today, by its next lucky owner!

This car is on offer from it's private owner who has the vehicle in his personal possession since purchasing it in 2009. This XK8 holds a clear & clean unbranded title/registration and it is ready for transfer to the buyer.
This car was originally delivered to its One U.S. owner in Florida before the current Canadian owner Richard M., purchased the car from a Florida Dealer at 42k miles and imported it into Canada. The original owner had clearly taken good care of the car as the original clean Carfax Report documented 18 Service Trip to his local Jag Dealer over the 6 years he had owned the car.
This Jaguar is virtually all factory original and in shockingly fine condition. Richard, since taking ownership, has had the Jag routinely serviced at his local 'Indy' Jaguar specialist shop, with the car being provided whatever service it needed to run right. Unlike so many Jags from this era, this is not an XK that has been passed around and lived a hard life of neglect or deferred maintenance. Alternately this Jaguar is clearly a car that has been responsibly and respectfully owned from new, which is not often the norm when shopping aging Jaguars.
Just 103k KM from new, with wear being near non existent anywhere on the car, and it remains stunning in its factory, Ebony (Black) on Charcoal (Black) Leather and a Black Cloth Soft Top. Further the XKs from this era beautifully followed the Jaguar tradition of a Leather Swathed Cabin with Burl Wood Trim and Analogue Gauges, which just seem so right on this car.
As priced it is offered at the equivalent of $10,500. USD given today's exchange rate, this makes it a very nice opportunity for buyers on either side of the border and finding one this nice, in this original condition, with this mileage, would prove tough indeed. Given that it was originally a U.S. Delivered Jaguar, returning the car to the U.S. Market is rather easy.
It must be noted, that the overall condition of this car is far beyond the average, for a 2003 Jaguar XK8.
Having owned a similar era Jaguar and driven it cross country from Vancouver to Toronto, through the many mountain passes, and the twist and turns of the routes less travelled, I can tell you that these cars are a pure joy to drive at speed. Quick, stable and they come with a lovely exhaust note once you get the revs up on that Jag 32V V8.
Performance: 0-60 MPH in 5.8 Seconds with a Top Speed of 155 MPH - which not surprisingly eclipsis the now classic, Jaguar E Type's performance numbers, quite handily.
