You may recall if you follow SportsCarLocate, our earlier stories and updates on one of our enthusiastic clients, Shane M., an enthusiast's enthusiast, and a gentleman that we describe as an Automotive Taster, who just happens to have very good taste!

Well, Shane as we told you back in the Fall of 2025 had done it again, adding this gorgeous Bentley to an ever growing list of automotive conquests. Shane is a longtime Canadian resident, but a Kiwi by birth & heart, a gent that has worked across the world, professionally chasing, the black gold that traditionally fuels the car's of our collective dreams.

From a distance, I sense that life for Shane is a pure passion project, with a near nonstop pursuit of the good life - fully lived! Shane shares life with his loving and supportive wife Jane and their wonderful family, along with a few good friends, and an ever changing stable of toys, all of which helps to dampen down Shane's unquenchable thirst for automotive nirvana.

As stated earlier, to my mind Shane is a true Automotive Taster, a collector of sorts, but not a collector of actual things, as Shane is much more focused on collecting the unique experiences that each car can offer its loving owner. Our history with Shane tells us that he is not someone who is into the long term ownership of cars, as he instead derives his joy from the hunt, the acquisition process, those precious all to few moments behind the wheel, and the car's after purchase care.

I would have to add that for Shane this period of automotive bliss is often followed, in the not too distant future, by Shane's decision to divest of the said automotive asset, and commence the chase for his next conquest. Shane buys truly great cars, but he often also ends up selling an even better car, after he has invested significantly in its care. This is the guy you want to buy a car from!

I have got to tell you… that I personally had an opportunity to get behind the wheel of this Black Beauty during an impromptu inspection prior to Shane’s purchase back in 2025 - and it was truly memorable to say the least. Taking this athletic and beautiful Bentley Continental GT 'Speed' through the gears with its 600HP - Twin Turbo W12 - chomping at the bit. Wow, what a find, what a ride, and yes, Bentley appropriately named this model ‘SPEED’!

Since this Bentley arrived at Shane's home he has driven it sparingly, maintained it lavishly at the Bentley dealer, and kept it otherwise cloistered in his garage, only adding just under 300 km to the odometer since his acquisition.

That all told… life for Shane is currently in a state of flux, and changes are in the wind, with Shane contemplating retirement once again (he's been there and done that before). Shane is now planning on changing up his residency and significantly reducing the amount of time he spends in Canada in the very near future. Hence with these changes his automotive needs are changing too. Shane just sold off one of his pieces, his impressive Classic Triumph TR4A, and now he is hoping to divest of his treasured Bentley Speed.
