First off this is not the right 911 for everyone, but that said, for the 'right buyer' this may prove to be the near perfect Porsche! 

To our minds this example best suits a Porschephile looking to own, drive and enjoy all that 911 ownership offers, without the bank balance bashing investment that these cars, so often traditionally demand. Not the car we would recommend if you wish to drive it daily, as this is best for the owner, that in reality (like so many Canadian Porsche owners) hopes to make use of their 911 sparingly, with each drive being a very special event.  That, Special Something, to look forward to, as the weekend approaches.

The 911, is without question, one of the finest sports cars of the past 60 years, traditionally a car that was fully driver focused and engaging, while demanding both a driver's active involvement, and a unique skill set, if he/she hoped to achieve all that these cars are capable of. That said, the times they have been a changing, and the Porsche 911 has changed too. Now, many of the traditions connected with the 911 have been adapted, subjugated,  or simply lost to time, hence many traditionally focused Porsche enthusiasts look to the 911's of the past, instead of the 911's of the future.

This currently available 991.1 is one of the last and arguably the best of the traditional 911 cars from the new era. It was built with the last of the production (Naturally Aspirated) Porsche Carrera H6 Engines, which to our minds, when combined with the  7 Speed Manual Transmission, was in essence, Porsche's 911 Traditions fully realized. Porsche had artfully and carefully refined the 911 over its prior five decades (1963-2013), culminating in this 'End Of Era' Porsche 911 model,  a car that in many ways epitomized all of the memorable attributes of the 911's from the past generations. 

Since first becoming available with the 997/911 in the 2009 MY 911 cars,  the Dual Clutch Automatic 'PDK' Transmission swiftly took hold and by the introduction of the 991/911 in 2012 'PDK' equipped 911 production far exceeded that of the increasingly forgotten 'Manual Equipped 911's. By 2013, the now currently desirable, Manually Equipped 911's reportedly made up less than 10% of 911 production. The long held tradition of Porsche's historic 'Naturally Aspirated' horizontal six cylinder engines and the long preferred manual transmissions were about to be extinct.  As a side note to all this, Porsche, will reportedly, no longer be offering a Manual Transmission 911 as of 2025.

This available 991.1, is the car for people who prize the experience of the drive, where mechanical connection, and complete engagement is the goal, above all else. 

The 2013 991.1 is a modern interpretation of the traditional 911 shape, with many of the key signatory elements of the original 911 design still intact, beauty as they say is in the eye of the beholder and if you are a 911 enthusiast we know that you will love what you see in this 911.

Performance, as you would expect, is on par with Porsche's from the modern era and far in excess of most 911's from the bygone eras. Capable of 0-60s in 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 178 MPH... do most of us really need more?

For the past near 16 years we at SportsCarLocate have been sourcing Porsche cars from every generation, many of these with significantly more mileage than this one, but still this must be considered a uniquely high mileage example, for a 911 from the modern era. That said, the car has been respectfully owned by a mature, caring owner that reportedly kept it away from the damaging elements, while ensuring it was fully maintained.  This is truly a rare find, not likely easily replicated any time soon.

This is a unique 911 that we believe in time will be considered something special, a car potentially significantly more desirable than it is today, but only time will tell! Keep it nice, drive it as we recommend, and if nothing else it should hold much of its current value moving forward.
